Novi Athletic Boosters will host gridiron culinary festival for 10th straight year
NOVI – One of the most anticipated events on the school calendar returns to Novi High School this Friday when some of the finest eateries around town will show off samplings of their culinary delights.
The 10th annual TasteFest, hosted by the Novi Athletic Boosters, will kick-off an exciting evening of family fun, food and football at Wildcats Stadium.
Prior to, and even during, the Novi-South Lyon East varsity football game, more than 20 restaurants – including Applebee’s, Aubree’s Pizzeria & Grill, Bahama Breeze, BD’s Mongolian BBQ, Border Cantina, Buffalo Wild Wings, Burgerfi, Epoch Catering, Granite City, Happy Sushi, Leo’s Coney Island, Library Pub, Pei Wei, Red Olive, Rusty Bucket and Tony Sacco’s – will be dishing up samples from their menus.
TasteFest is scheduled for 5-10 p.m.
There will also be plenty of family fun games and activities for everyone, including inflatables, sponsored by the United Dairy Industry of Michigan; a rock-climbing wall; the Novi Education Fund dunk tank; temporary tattoos; and other entertainment available for a donation, which will go to the Novi Athletic Boosters and the Flint Child Health and Development Fund through the Community Foundation Greater Flint.
The Wildcats (1-2) will host South Lyon East (0-3) in a KLAA Central Division opener for both teams at 7 p.m.
Entry into the game and TasteFest is $5 and food wristbands will be sold along with 10 tickets for $10 (must have wristband to use the tickets). Tickets can be used at any restaurant desplay for a taste of Novi cuisine. Each sample from the restaurants requires one ticket.
Additional TasteFest tickets can be purchased for $1 each.
Drinks and regular concessions will also be available for purchase.
